BOA tightening system is great. With clockwise turn of knob you tighten, doesn't bind or pinch and much more secure than the tri-strap variety. Shoe has 2 screened-over vents in sole so not a foul-weather option (unless you like wet feet). Works fine outdoors otherwise. Easy to loosen - just pull out on knob, then push in to re-adjust. Moderately stiff sole transfers less energy than a road shoe (maybe 80%), but still much better than a sneaker.Seems to fit smallish (48 is advertised as a US-14; however, probably closer to a 13). Very even, secure fit. Again, the BOA is worth a serious look - the system tightens evenly with just the turn of a knob on the heel.
