I bought these shoes to replace my previous Shimano shoes which were a bad fit. The M225S are a pleasure to wear on long rides. The lightweight carbon heel/bottom makes the shoe feel strong yet very light. As with all Shimano shoes, cleat mounting is a breeze. The sockliner is also quite comfortable, not too hard and not too soft, and should fit most people unless you need orthotics. Energy transfer is excellent and I felt an instant improvement in my pedaling, most likely due to the stiff sole.The spikes are good for trail walking when you really need to get off your bike. These shoes also really keep the dirt away. Highly recommended!
